Youth Ministry

Youth Ministry

The St. Theresa Church Youth Ministry is designed to empower the youth in our parish community to live as disciples of Jesus Christ.  This program offers teens in Grades 9 -12 to gather with their peers to share their faith and have fun in a supportive atmosphere.  Teens are encouraged to participate in Youth Nights and Youth Mass, service projects, and Vicariate and Diocesan Youth events.  The 2011 to 2012 Youth Ministry calendar can be found here.

The Youth Ministry is providing support to Xander Munson who is a first grader at Pomaika'i Elementary School.  Xander has serious medical challenges and requires financial assistance.  You can get more information here.  One of the additional ways to help Xander is to participate in the Solid Baby Showcase.

Confirmation Preparation

The Confirmation Preparation is to lead persons, high school age and older, to a closer relationship with Christ so to better live out discipleship in the Church and secular community.   High school Confirmation is a two-year process. Adults interested in the Sacrament of Confirmation are asked to contact the Religious Education Department directly.

Confirmation will be celebrated with Bishop Larry Silva on Wednesday May 18, 6p in the church. A catered dinner is planned following the Mass. Tickets are $7 and will be available for sale this weekend at all Masses. The deadline for tickets is Wednesday May 11th.

Saint Anthony of Padua Youth Group cordially invites graduation high school seniors to join them for a special “Aloha Senior Mass” on Sunday May 15th at the 5:00pm Liturgy. Underclassmen of Maui’s Vicariate parishes are also welcome to attend and celebrate with the seniors in prayer and song. For more information contact: saprishlifeteam@yahoo.com or youth moderator, Art Fillazar at the church office, 244-4148.

3rd Edition of the Roman Missal
